Cigarette Case In 925 silver and square in form. Enhanced with a "linear" guilloché pattern and adorned on the front with an applied centipede and insects (typically in amber, mother-of-pearl, coloured enamels, etc.) in the Shibayama style, referencing a Japanese decorative technique developed during the Edo period (1603–1868) and named after Shibayama Senzo, an artist renowned for popularising this method. Opening décor adorned with scrollwork and flowers on the front edge. Interior enhanced with a guilloché border on the underside of the lid and gilt vermeil on the lower section only. Lid 1/2 1/2.
