Description

Pyrogène Vesta Case In sterling silver 925 and of square form. Enhanced on the front with a 9ct gold shield cartouche and applied insects (often in amber, mother-of-pearl, colored enamels, etc) in Shibayama style, referring to a Japanese decorative technique developed during the Edo period (1603-1868) and bearing the name of Shibayama Senzo, an artist renowned for popularizing this method. Insects extending onto the sides. 30.30gr. Fitted with a 1/5 4/5 hinged lid with a concave striker at the base and a side suspension loop.
