Description

Cigarette case In 925 silver with rectangular form and beveled long edges. Mirror-polished smooth finish, embellished on the front with applied insects and millipedes (often in amber, mother-of-pearl, colored enamels, etc.) in Shibayama style, referring to a Japanese decorative technique developed during the Edo period (1603-1868) and named after Shibayama Senzo, an artist renowned for popularizing this method.
